Since I started blogging just over 2 years ago, I have encountered a number of truly inspirational bloggers. If you recall after I was fortunate to be placed on the top 100 Sex Bloggers List I had some mixed emotions. This is my attempt to give something back to the blogging community I am privileged, and proud, to be a part of. I am going to list them alphabetically because everyone on this list is No.1. to me.
Inspirational Bloggers, who go above and beyond!
This first list is those Bloggers I have taken inspiration from. Some of them have offered me advice, some of them encouragement. All of them are fabulous writers! Whether it is fiction or factual every single one of these bloggers consistently creates brilliant posts. These ladies also give up their time running writing memes, providing a prompt and a way to reach a huge audience. They support the Sex Blogging community in so many ways that I want to highlight them first.
I can’t remember when I first came across Brigit, but it wasn’t long before I realised what an amazing writer she is. I always enjoy reading her posts. She is a blogger who’s life experiences resonate with me. She writes about her real life and how it is affected by mental health and aging. On top of managing her site and creating great content Brigit manage the monthly prompt The Erotic Journal Challenge and she is a judge for the Smut Marathon. I don’t know if she is going to Eroticon in 2020, but if she is I will be so excited and delighted to meet her!
Floss writes about a variety of topics as she goes through life and I love reading about her adventures. She is an engaging writer, and, most often when I read her posts I feel like I am sat with a friend. Floss is a Co-host for the Food For Thought writing meme which I try to take part in as often as I can. I am also looking forward to hearing her speak at Eroticon in 2020.
Kayla manages a massive number of projects and supports the blogging community so much. I have only just started taking part in Masturbation Monday, and very recently I did the round up, which was brilliant! Another one of Kayla’s projects, the Smutlancer, is a resource for anyone who wants to make money from their Sex Blog. She produces work on this platform as well as her own blog and on Loving BSDM. In 2018 I submitted an idea to Loving BDSM and Kayla responded to say they would be interested. I wrote1 about how D/s has helped my depression and mental state. When Kayla published my piece, for the first time I felt like I was actually a writer. She has a new project that is just getting off the ground, Shag Story and I am so excited for this project and can’t wait for the launch.
Marie is an amazing blogger, who also takes a great deal of her own time to help other bloggers find their voices. She hosts a number of memes Wicked Wednesday, Menopause Diaries, Oral Sex Project that I have taken part in, and the year long competition called the Smut Marathon which I have signed up to take part in next year. Marie writes fiction and true life posts, she is speaking at Eroticon next year and I am really looking forward to hearing what she has to say. I have this idea that she will be as funny in person as she can be on her blog.
May gives you more, that’s her tagline, on Twitter, and does she ever! She is another of the bloggers who are there, always offering encouragement and support. May has a new project too ‘Radio More’ where she narrates her work for us to listen to, and it is fantastic! She co-manages the writing meme Food for Thought with Floss and earlier this year she gave me some practical advice for improving my sites useability, which I was happy to take! I am really looking forward to hearing her speak at Eroticon next year and hopefully meeting her in person!
I honestly don’t know how this lady does it. Not only does she run Sinful Sunday every week but she also take the time every year to compile the Top 100 Sex Blogs list, as well as being the driving force behind the annual Conference for sex bloggers, Eroticon. This amazing woman also manages Elust. Mere humans, like myself, are in awe of her ability to juggle so many projects, write regular posts on her blog, produce podcasts and live a normal full life. She gives a lot to the blogging community and that is just so awesome. This year I was fortunate to receive some advice from her on how to improve the look and feel of my site, and I am looking forward to seeing her in person at Eroticon in March.
What can I say about SubMissy? Well, she is my absolute favourite person. Having met her and HisLordship in real life, I have to admit to having a little crush on her, I have never met someone so genuinely nice, kind and friggin’ awesome! Their site The SafeworD/s Club is a fantastic place, and they take the time to be there twice a week and host chats. As well as working full time, maintaining the site, hosting chats she still manages to produce content posts that are filled with life, love, laughter and passion. As if this wasn’t enough they also decided to run a D/s writing prompt called Tell Me About. A few months ago I offered to assist with the administration of this, by promoting it on Twitter.
Violet is another blogger who supports the community in so many ways. Her project Lingerie is for Everyone is one I am proud to support and I join in as much as possible. Far too often the media shoves this concept that only perfectly proportioned, slim people can wear and look sexy in lingerie. I am neither of these things, but I do completely understand that lingerie can make you feel so sexy and I want to help promote that concept to people of all shapes and sizes. Violet is also a blogger who I imagine would be amazing in person too. I volunteered to do the round up for LIFE in September, and I enjoyed being a part of the project in this way too; and I will be doing it again next year.
Inspirational Bloggers – I Love to Read
There are some bloggers whose posts I always enjoy reading, and who I wholeheartedly recommend following. They are inspirational bloggers in their own way too, and I have again listed them alphabetically.
Michael lives in a Female Led relationship, and is the only male submissive on my list, although definitely not the only one in existence! His Queen keeps him in chastity, and he wears a cage every day. He writes about his adventures pleasing his Queen as well as some amazing fantasy pieces featuring myself and some of the other bloggers listed here. I look forward to his posts and have to admit I am fascinated by the F/m dynamic, although I know it is something I don’t want to try, even if MrH had a submissive bone in his body (which he doesn’t)!
Deviant is such a vivacious and lively blogger. You can feel her personality in every post. Although she is a relatively new blogger she was listed in the new voices by Molly Moore and I would be very surprised if she doesn’t place in the top 100 next year if she continues to produce amazing posts. I have been privileged to interact with her during the bi-weekly chats on the SafeworD/s Club and she is as bubbly during these chats as she appears on her blog.
Michael has just started his own blog, and I have had a few interactions with him where he has given me advice as well as practical help with my blog. He has helped a few of us bloggers with their websites, I know I have called on him a few times when I have got stuck, and will very likely call on him again in the future. His new blog is telling his story as he moves forward following his relationship with Molly breaking down. I hope so much that they remain friends and that they both find happiness.
Eve is a disabled sex blogger, and I found her first on Twitter. Her disabilities are much more severe than mine but I take inspiration in how much she achieves to spur me on. She describes herself as a professional (disabled) internet human, and what I love is that while she acknowledges her disability, by putting it in brackets I feel she is symbolising that this should not be the defining characteristic of her blog or life. Eve is another blogger who I imagine I would get on well with and would be able to have a great conversation with.
Francesca is another blog that I have only recently found, but I am enjoying immensely. She has recently announced that she is expecting a baby, and I am looking forward to hearing her future adventures. I wish so many absolutely wonderful things for her. Her blog was also listed in Mollys Moore’s New Voices post as part of the Top 100 List, and I think she is very likely to place on the top 100 next year.
Naomi and Rex are so wonderful! I have only recently found their blog but everything I have read has been wonderful. They write with such gentility and grace. They are beautiful people.
Swirlie is hosted by Melody. She hasn’t been blogging long but everything she writes is thoughtfully composed. I have enjoyed reading her work and I hope she continues to post next year.
Site Statistics & Top Posts
You will probably know I rarely check my Site Stats. I didn’t start the blog to get followers or to see how many people read it; and I don’t want to become obsessed with it either, so I don’t often look. The change to self hosted in March also means that I have absolutely no data from before that time. However, in the interest of sheer curiosity, I did look at the stats today. My top 3 most viewed posts since March are, a face fuck, Kneel Before Me, and So You Want to be a Submissive Wife? And, my blog has had a total of 54,389 views since then, which is absolutely astounding.
I feel privileged to be apart of such a warm and encouraging community. There are some fun things and some challenges ahead of me in 2020. I signed up to take part in Smut Marathon and MrH and I are going to Eroticon; I booked the hotel. We are excited to be able to meet some amazing bloggers in person! But, before that MrH is going to be having an operation in January, I have a pain relieving procedure scheduled in January which will hopefully mean that Eroticon will be more comfortable. There is a possibility that I will also have some surgery on my spine at some point. Whatever happens in 2020 I know that I will continue to find support and encouragement from these inspirational bloggers; and I will be able to sit and read some exquisite posts from bloggers who feel like friends.
