ARRGGH

The child who promised he was going out with friends this weekend, therefore leaving us alone in the house able to play without any noise restrictions or inhibitions, has now told us he is not 😡😡😭😭

We had booked a hotel on the ‘well if he cancels we have a plan B’ but when he confirmed yesterday he was still going we cancelled it.

Well I’ve rebooked the hotel (now costing an additional £4 – go figure) because MrH and I need some alone time!

  1. We had a similar situation. Our son was going to his birth father’s. The “man” picked him up and then ten minutes later returned him and said he was banned. I may do a post on this and the damage that irresponsible people can do to children. But at the moment, it means no alone time for us. Combine that with an angry son who is also confused by his birth “father”. Some people should not be allowed to procreate.

      1. In some ways we are disappointed. And yet his biological father is such an ass and a poor role model that it takes almost two weeks after a visit for our son to re-approach humanity. This way we don’t have to go through those two unpleasant weeks.

    1. Our eldest sons birth father was similarly damaging. I feel for you all… All you can do is reassure the child that they are loved and wanted by you and that this other person is the one who is damaged not them. Our lad was plagued for years with ‘what’s wrong with me that he doesn’t want me?’ thoughts.

  2. Bless. I hope you all have some alone time soon and have some fun!! Being a single mumma I’m limited to trying to fit in any fun me time too 2 hours in the school hours so I totally feel the pain!
