How it began – part 1

I’ve read a lot of literature, but the first time I encountered BDSM it was by accident. Apparently not everything Anne Rice writes is horror! I was in the library looking for a new horror book having just finished one of the vampire books and I picked up a book called ‘Beauty’s Punishment’ needless to say it was an eye opener. Reading it I found myself aroused, but at the same time I felt it was wrong to be… at 20 I had very little experience. Having been married briefly to a very inexperienced man who ultimately was unfaithful, when the relationship ended I had a young son, but I was very naive.

I decided to start this blog after reading the work of an amazing and inspiring Submissy and I hope that in time this blog will not only contain my thoughts and feelings but also be informative.

I met my now husband when I was 21, and our relationship has been great. MrH is strong, passionate, caring and he loves me deeply.  We have had periods where the passion has ebbed but we have remained strong together through our deep friendship and trust.  He is my rock, my strength, my world. I would say I trust him completely but that would not be true.  I have issues which I am sure I will talk about at some point, but as this is about our beginning I will leave it for now.

It has taken me 17 years to ask him if he would be willing to add elements of BDSM to our relationship and as I am now off to work now, I’ll tell you how that went next time.

    1. I wasn’t aware she had 😂 but I think her fame came from the supernatural genre, and I wonder if she had reservations when she first published them, after all she published them under a pseudonym.

  1. Dear SweetGirl I also read the entire set and found myself desiring those things. Or at least aroused to say the least. I have NOT read 50 shades of grey.
