Asking the question.. (How it began – part 2)

Earlier I talked about how my interest in kink began, a bit about my past and my current relationship. MrH is everything to me and he has been since we met. I feel lost without him… as much as the independent woman within me screams that she doesn’t need a man! My heart knows the truth- that my world is better with him in it.  Having said all that if you met us you would not think I had a submissive bone in my body.

The simple life

There we were plodding along as most married couples do. Our routine was simple and our sex life fulfilling. Our sex life was enjoyable and although I didn’t orgasm every time we made love I still enjoyed the experience.  MrH always wants to please me and so he does all the things that I like him to do.

We both work full time and to make matters more complex I have chronic back pain – I mean there have been times when I have been in too much pain to stand up. At the moment it’s controlled by a cocktail of pain medication and I’m relatively comfortable.

I think I am submissive

One sunny day MrH and I were at the local hospital waiting to see my pain specialist… I’d taken my kindle and MrH had also brought a book and we were passing the time reading. I started with a ‘Harry Potter’ book and got bored so started flicking through the other books I had. ‘50 shades of grey’ popped up and I opened it. It was at the end of a scene, the first BDSM scene in the story and I decided to share it with MrH. I asked him to read from the beginning of the scene and when he had done so I said something like “I’d like it if we could do that”

I think I had my eyes on my knees because I felt awkward asking. MrH is a gentle man and here I was asking him to spank me and tie me up. He just said “OK.”

In the car on the way home we talked more and he expressed his doubts that I would like being restrained as I don’t like being out of control. I just responded that we wouldn’t know til we tried.

Taking Control

I don’t recall talking about it again. That evening when we got in bed, MrH pulled the covers down to the bottom of the bed. He took off my nighty. Placed my arms out wide in a v above head. Then took hold of my ankles and spread my legs. He took a blindfold and covered my eyes. I felt his breath on my neck as he leaned close and whispered “Don’t move”

From that moment I knew I was his submissive. It was the best night I had ever had (until then) and things have just got better.

That was how it began – how I became Sweetgirl and he became MrH my Sir, and how we started our journey as Dominant and submissive.

The Safewords Club is a fantastic online community that we joined.  I can’t recommend it enough to any D/s couple.  It’s a place full of friendship, acceptance and a wealth of experience and knowledge.  If you are new to D/s or not click the image above and come meet the gang.

  1. Hello Sweetgirl, Welcome, I’ve just found your blog through Ronnie at Heart and Soul. Your journey is very similar to a lot of us here in blogland where we read 50 shades and its taken off from there. Look forward to getting to know more about you and MrH.
    Hugs Lindy

  2. Mister Man bought FSoG on the recommendation of a female friend. He wanted us to read them together. After reading the first steamy scene, and the sex that followed, I said, “We could try that.” He was a bit surprised that his reserved little wife was interested in kinky stuff, but we have been happily exploring ever since.

      1. We certainly are bethanybody … I still can’t believe it’s been almost a year since this conversation…. and I’ve just received an appointment to go to the same clinic on the 18th June which is a mere 6 days before the one year mark!

  3. Congrats on finding your way into the lifestyle. You’re the first person I’ve come across who’s found their way into D/s through 50 shades. I’ve heard of it happening, but not run across anyone.

    1. Hi, thank you for your comment 😊 I have go admit to only having read 1 of the 3 books, and I struggled through that. It is a poor example of D/s but being able to share a snapshot of the book with MrH opened the door to our D/s journey. 😊
